About me

Originally, I joined the Göpfrich group in 2023 for my master’s thesis. Now, as a PhD student, I am working on bringing matter to life by creating building blocks for a simple synthetic cell. Specifically, I am developing a transmembrane pore using RNA origami. Additionally, I am experimentally investigating RNA-lipid interactions to utilize them as membrane anchors for the nanopore and to gain insights into their role in the RNA world hypothesis and the origins of life.
