About me
I am a PhD student in the Göpfrich Group. I initially trained in theoretical physics before developing a strong interest in biophysics. During my master’s thesis in the group of Oliver Otto, I investigated the mechanical properties of adherent animal cells. This work sparked my interest in understanding how mechanical properties influence biological systems.
My current research focuses on the role of membrane mechanics in regulating the function of vesicles within the context of synthetic biology. By studying the interplay between membrane mechanics and vesicle behavior, I aim to contribute to a deeper understanding of the physical principles underlying synthetic cellular systems.
